How to Upgrade Windows Xp Home to
Windows Xp Professional   
(using Upgrade option)

   You can Upgrade from Windows Xp Home to Windows Xp Professional within the operating system using
Windows Xp Professional installation disk. Using the upgrade options all your settings and files will not be
changed.

   Start Upgrade process by inserting Windows Xp professional installation disk in your cd/dvd-rom device
and press on Install Windows Xp
On Installation Type select Upgrade (Recommended) then press Next.
Read the License Agreement select I accept this agreement and press Next.
Enter Your Product Key then press Next to continue.
Note: Only with  Windows Xp Professional Service Pack 3 you can leave it blank press Next and register
your product later.
Press No to continue.  
Select No, skip this step and continue installing Windows then press Next.  
Upgrade will continue after restart.  
If previously in bios you selected that your CD/DVD/RW to be your first boot device you will be prompted to
press any key to begin the installation.
Do not press any key because you will start another installation, just wait the installation to continue.

Press Next to continue.  
Select Help protect my PC by turning on Automatic Updates now then press Next.  
Select No, remind me every few days then press Next.  
Press Finish to complete the upgrade.  
Now your computer is upgraded to Windows Xp Professional.
