How to Upgrade Windows Xp Home to
Windows Xp Professional   
(using Files and Settings Transfer Wizard)

You can transfer settings for Internet Explorer and Outlook Express, as well as desktop and display settings,
dial-up connections, and other types of settings.
To continue, press Next
Select Old computer then press Next
To continue press Unblock
Click on Browse and select a folder where you want to backup your data and press OK.
To continue press Next
Select Both files and settings and Let me select a custom list and settings when i click Next.
To continue, press Next
From this panel backup all your files and settings, when you are done press Next
To close this wizard, press Finish

   Assuming that you covered Step 2 you can begin Windows Xp Professional installation by inserting
Windows Xp professional installation disk in your cd/dvd-rom device and restart your computer.
First window dialog will ask you to choose your Regional and Language Options settings.
Choose the appropriate settings and click Next.  
Enter Your Name and Organization then press Next to continue.  
Enter Your Product Key then press Next to continue.
Note: Only with  Windows Xp Profesional Service Pack 3 you can leave it blank press Next and register
your product later.
Press No to continue.  
Provide a name for your computer and press Next. (You can provide a password for the default Administrator
account now or later )
Set the correct date and time for your computer then press Next.  
Select Typical settings then press Next.  
For now just press Next you can make the correct settings later.  
Setup will make a second restart.  
If previously in bios you selected that your CD/DVD/RW to be your first boot device you will be prompted to
press any key to begin the installation.
Do not press any key because you will start another installation, just wait the installation to continue.
Press OK to continue.  
If you can read the text press OK to continue.  
Press Next to continue.  
Select Help protect my PC by turning on Automatic Updates now then press Next.  
You can Skip the checking for Internet connectivity.  
Select No, remind me every few days then press Next.  
Provide a name for the first user account then press Next.  
Press Finish to complete installation.  
If previously in bios you selected that your CD/DVD/RW to be your first boot device you will be prompted to
press any key to begin the installation.
Do not press any key because you will start another installation, just wait the installation to continue.
Setup will continue after restart.  
You need to wait until setup files are copied.  
Please wait while Setup formats the partition .  
Windows setup will warn you that formatting this partition will delete all files on it.
Press F to format this drive.
Because is not recommended to install two operating system on the same partition please select:
Format the partition using NTFS file system and press ENTER.  
Windows setup will worn you that is not recommended to install two operating systems on the same
partition. Press C to continue.  
Select the same operating system partition ( C ) and press ENTER.  
To reinstall Windows Xp press ENTER.  
If you agree with the Windows Xp Licensing Agreement, press F8 key to continue.

    Start Files and Settings Transfer Wizard from Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools
To continue, press Next
Select New computer and press Next
Select I don`t need the Wizard Disk. I have already collected my files and settings from my old computer
and press Next
Click on Browse and select the folder where you have backup your data and press OK.
To continue press Next
To close this wizard, press Finish
You need to log off for the changes to take effect, click Yes

   You can Upgrade from Windows Xp Home to Windows Xp Professional in four Steps

Step 1 - Backup al your personal data from windows partition manually or using Files and Settings Transfer
            Wizard
Step 2 - Prepare for a clean install of Windows Xp Professional ( a clean install will format the system
             partition ).
             - a) Windows Xp Professional disk and your product key
             - b) Computer drivers (if you don`t have them go to the manufacturer site and download them)
             - c) Learn how to boot from cd/dvd-rom
Step 3 - Install Windows Xp Professional
Step 4 - After windows have all drivers is updated and secure use Files and Settings Transfer Wizard to
             access your data.
