Why a repair installation of Windows Xp Professional?

Windows repair installation should be used in cases when the system files are too damaged or the system
is too infected and no security software can run in order to disinfect it.

The purpose of the article is to show how a repair installation of Windows Xp Professional goes when you
start installation from your Operating System.

The advantage of repair installation is that you can keep all your user account file, settings and installed
programs like they were.This is a very easy and quick way to fix your system.

Note: Don't confuse this repair with the option for recovery console.

Lets start the repair installation:
You can start Repair Installation from the operating system.
Press Install Windows Xp to begin   
On Installation Type select New Installation (Advanced) and press Next.  
Check I accept the license terms and press Next.  
Enter Your Product Key then press Next to continue.
Note: Only with  Windows Xp Professional Service Pack 3 you can leave it blank press Next and register
your product later.
Press No to continue.  
Make your settings and go to Advanced Options...  
Check I want to choose the install drive letter and partition during Setup box.

Note: If you don`t check this box you can unintentional start an new installation on the second partition  
Press Next to continue.  
Windows repair will continue after restart.  
If previously in bios you selected that your CD/DVD/RW to be your first boot device you will be prompted to
press any key to begin the installation.
Do not press any key because you will start another installation, just wait the installation to continue.
To make a Windows Xp repair press ENTER.  
To repair the selected Windows Xp installation press R key.  
You need to wait until setup files are copied.  
Windows repair will continue after restart.

Make your Regional and Language Options settings and click Next
Windows repair will make a second restart.  
If previously in bios you selected that your CD/DVD/RW to be your first boot device you will be prompted to
press any key to begin the installation.
Do not press any key because you will start another installation, just wait the installation to continue.
Press Next to continue.  
Select No, remind me every few days then press Next.  
Press Finish to complete repair.
